Workshops with Master Naoki Urasawa

Grateful to Japan House, I'll be a part of guest speakers in series of Naoki Urasawa's event, the giga-seller comic artist known as 20th Century Boys, MONSTER, Master Keaton, Yawara! and more.

Poppyちゃんコミックス化に続き、告知らしい告知がようやくできるようになって嬉しいです。「20世紀少年」「YAWARA!」などで知られる漫画界の先駆者・ 浦沢直樹氏が来週行うイベントで、ワークショップをさせていただくことになりました。

外務省が運営する海外向け文化促進プロジェクト、ジャパンハウスの浦沢氏トークイベント、サインセッションをともない、キャラクターの作り方、漫画の描き方について3つのテーマで1日2セッション、2/2, 2/9, 3/2の3日間話します。また2/9には似顔絵ライブセッションもあるので、興味のある方はぜひ来てください。

浦沢さんはこれまでLAでイベントを数々行っていて、自分も非公式の場で話す機会はあったものの、アーティストとして、こうして公式イベントでご一緒させていただけるレベルまで成長することが目標のひとつでした。2020東京オリンピックに向け日本の各省庁や企業がたくさんの課題を乗り越えながら熱を入れ取り組んでいる海外発信活動、その一助となり機会をいただけたことに感謝しています。

Coming at the beginning of next month following Naoki Urasawa's Event, I'll have a couple workshops and one live drawing session related to character design and comic art at their brand new facilities of Japan House.
